Franklinton commission taking more time to review CoverMyMeds' HQ requests

CoverMyMeds is seeking several variances for a new headquarters in Franklinton, including an allowance to build at quadruple the maximum height for the industrial neighborhood.
The Franklinton Area Commission on Tuesday delayed the vote to its December meeting, said Trent Smith, commission chairman and executive director of the Franklinton Board of Trade. Even though that's not usually a business meeting, he said via email, he does not want to delay the question longer than that.
"The commissioners want more time to review the information and requested variances to have a more thorough understanding, and also have a little more time to consider the concerns of the existing McKinley Avenue businesses, before casting a decision," Smith said via email. "Also, we are requesting that a representative from the city come to the December meeting to discuss the traffic study."
The software company, acquired last year by McKesson Corp., plans a $240 million campus with twin 200,000-square-foot office buildings, built over parking garages, northwest of McKinley and Souder avenues along the Scioto River. The first half is projected for completion in 2021, and the rest as long as three years later
